St Columba's booming voice

St Columba was said to have a loud booming voice.

It was said he could stand at the edge of his monastery on Iona and shout across to the ferryman at Fionnphort to call him over.

On a clear day when you are at the Abbey you can hear the warning message from the Ferry when it’s leaving Fionnphort so it might be true.
