Nostalgin

Isle of Cumbrae Distillers, makers of ‘Nostalgin’ Scottish gin – launched in September 2020. The name nostalgin is a tribute to many Scots having fond memories of traditional family holidays in the 1950s and 60s “doon the watter” on the delightful island of Cumbrae. Nostalgin’s primary botanicals are lavender and brambles, chosen to mimic the atmosphere of calm and relaxation that islanders and visitors comment on when stepping ashore off the ferry.

With impressive community support from their island community and a much needed crowd funded investment, Isle of Cumbrae Distillers initial launch was a complete success with every bottle sold. The team of five women, are one of only two all-femaile distilling teams in Scotland.

Isle of Cumbrae Distillers has also launched Croc Rock Gin – this time inspired by Millport’s famous Crocodile Rock. Given the support and generosity of their crowd funders, the team is committed to investing 5% of all future profits to support the island’s community projects.

Bronwyn Jenkins-Deas, Juli Dempsey, Lynda Gill, Philippa Dalton, and Jenine Ward are the four women running Isle of Cumbrae Distillers Ltd.
